Thank you for your offer, but we only index typewritten sources to which OCR can be applied. If your source is of general genealogical interest (i.e., relevant to many families besides yours) but needs to be transcribed, you should contact a relevant genealogy society.

Re: post photos or documents
Attachments are not allowed on these forums. You can, though, host your images elsewhere and display them inline or link to them, using the Img or URL buttons above the text entry area when posting. However, these forums are not really the appropriate place to post family photos or testimonials, unl...

Re: using wife stats
Very few sources indexed here list spouses' names. The Krakow Calendars (residential sections) are a notable exception that can list spouses' names.

Re: last names
Very few of the sources indexed here include both married and maiden surnames for women. Almost always, there is only one surname, and it is not specified whether this is the married or maiden surname (although, language-specific suffixes might be an indicator). Exceptions -- sources in which entrie...

Re: Breslau 1935 Adressbuch
Thanks for the request. I have this directory on my to-do list, but handling the blackletter font takes much more manual effort, so it is a relatively low priority.

Re: Jancety Pietrzyk
The only exact match to these names that I find in Poland after 1930 is for a Witold Pietrzyk who was repatriated to Bialystok in 1946, arriving from Germany: http://genealogyindexer.org/frame/d872/1167/d. There is, however, a listing with a first initial W. only, which might or might not be a match...

Re: Jozef Pienkawa
I did not find the PIENKAWAs using the search engine, so I manually examined a few Warsaw directories, since the search engine is based on OCR, which is not 100% accurate. I don't see PIENKAWA in the 1930 Warsaw Address, Business, and Telephone Directory (Książka Informacyjno-Adresowa Cała Warszawa)...

Austria-Hungary WWI Casualties
Very clear images of World War I casualty lists for Austria-Hungary are viewable and full-text searchable on the website of the Upper Austrian Regional Library. To search the casualty lists, enter your search term (e.g., surname, surname and given name, surname and town) at http://digi.landesbibliot...

No problem. Yes, you need to use a browser plug-in, not a standalone viewer.

Re: Too many DJVU file failures...
Hello, Bob, Please share a few links where you are having problems, and I will try to investigate. Since I do not make the .DjVu files or viewers, there might not be much I can do, though. As for many sites serving invalid files, most of the Polish sites use the same digital library management softw...
