Hi
I am trying to help my friend find out about his grandfathers Polish/Ukraine family
The family of Teodor Gawryluk
I have a few names of the family
Teodor bn 1913 -he was in the Polish army and served under british command in Italy and settled in England after the war ended.
Dimitri - his father he was a tailor
Mischa -his brother
Chariton (not sure about the spelling) also a brother
Marianna maybe sister in law
Anatole - he was in the Russian army in 1971 maybe conscripted? his nephew
At this point I don't know where he was born in Poland. On Teodor's alien registration card it has Radno down as birthplace which looks to be a translation error.
We do however have photo's from the 50's
which suggest the family was then in the Ukraine maybe with the changing of the borders after ww11
Can anybody help or have any suggestions/ideas
Many thanks
Diane

Re: Gawryluk family
Unfortunately, the directories currently on this site have very poor coverage of Volhynia, and I would not expect to find any entries for this village. In the future, I hope to add directories with greater coverage of parts of present-day Ukraine that were not in Galicia (if anyone has such directories, please contact me).

Unfortunately, no news to report about Volhynia directories. If you follow @gindexer on Twitter, you'll get updates when there are any important developments. Thanks for your kind remarks.jesslu wrote:Hey logan, I was just wondering if you have had any updates with regards to the availability of the Volhynia directories?
